Cloverleaf Plumbing, Heating & Renewables is a well-established and growing business, proudly serving customers since 1994.
We specialise in plumbing, heating, air conditioning and renewable energy solutions, helping homeowners and businesses improve their comfort and energy efficiency.
As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an enthusiastic, organised and confident individual to join our friendly office team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy office environment, and wants to develop their career in customer relationship and sales.
Initially, the role will focus primarily on general office administration, customer service and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the business.
However, we're looking for more than someone who simply processes paperwork.
You'll also play an important role in how we welcome new customers, manage incoming enquiries and guide prospective clients through the early stages of their journey with Cloverleaf.
As you become familiar with our services, systems and customers, there will be opportunities to take on greater sales responsibilities, develop your commercial skills and earn additional income through a commission structure.
You don't need to be a heating or renewable energy expert. We're much more interested in finding someone with the right personality, communication skills and willingness to learn.
Manage and coordinate boiler and air source heat pump servicing, including customer reminders, bookings and follow-up communications.
Complete manufacturer product and warranty registrations, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
Assist with the administration of our company vehicle fleet, including servicing, MOTs, insurance and general vehicle records.
Maintain accurate customer information, job records and documentation within our Simpro management system.
Support the scheduling and coordination of engineers and customer appointments.
Liaise with customers, engineers, suppliers and other members of the team to ensure jobs progress smoothly.
Assist with general office administration and other operational tasks as required.
Act as a friendly, professional and confident first point of contact for customers contacting Cloverleaf by telephone, email or through our website.
Handle new sales enquiries, asking relevant questions to understand customers' requirements and identify the most appropriate next step.
Qualify and organise incoming enquiries, ensuring customers are directed towards the correct service, appointment or member of the team.
Build rapport with prospective customers and maintain communication throughout the early stages of their enquiry.
Arrange initial consultations, surveys and follow-up appointments with the appropriate team members.
Proactively follow up with prospective customers, keeping conversations moving forward and ensuring opportunities are not overlooked.
Maintain accurate customer notes and enquiry records to support a structured and professional sales process.
As you gain experience and confidence, we would like you to become increasingly involved in the commercial side of the business.
This could include:
Following up on quotations and helping customers make informed purchasing decisions.
Developing the confidence to discuss our services, explain their benefits and address common customer objections.
Managing your own customer enquiries and progressing opportunities through the sales process.
Helping convert enquiries into confirmed appointments and accepted quotations.
Working towards agreed sales targets with the opportunity to earn commission.
Full training and ongoing support will be provided as your responsibilities develop.
We're looking for someone who combines excellent organisational skills with a natural ability to communicate and build relationships.
Previous experience in office administration, customer service or a similar role.
Confident, friendly and professional telephone manner.
Comfortable starting conversations with new customers and asking questions to understand their needs.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several tasks and priorities.
Excellent attention to detail and a reliable approach to completing administrative work.
Good written communication and computer skills.
A proactive attitude, with the confidence to take ownership of tasks and follow them through.
Willingness to learn new systems, processes and technical information.
A positive, enthusiastic personality and the ability to work well within a small team.
An interest in developing customer relationship and sales skills.
Experience working in plumbing, heating, air conditioning, renewables, construction or a related industry.
Previous experience in a customer-facing sales or sales support role.
Experience using CRM or job management software such as Simpro.
Experience managing service schedules, customer appointments or maintenance contracts.
Previous involvement in following up on quotations or converting customer enquiries into sales.
Industry experience is an advantage but is not essential. We believe that the right attitude, personality and communication skills are just as important as previous technical knowledge.
Competitive basic salary of £26,000–£29,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Opportunity to earn additional sales commission as your role develops.
20 days' annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.
An additional 3 days' paid holiday gifted by the company during our Christmas shutdown.
Workplace pension scheme.
Friendly, supportive and established team environment.
Training on our products, services and business systems.
Genuine opportunities for professional development as the company continues to grow.
The opportunity to play an important role in a growing business within the renewable energy sector.
If you're organised, enjoy speaking with people and would like a role that offers both variety and the opportunity to develop your career, we'd love to hear from you.
We're particularly interested in hearing from candidates who are confident on the telephone, enjoy building customer relationships and are motivated to take on more responsibility over time.
Please apply with your up-to-date CV and a brief introduction explaining why you feel you'd be a good fit for our team.
