The role

As Finance Associate at Encord, you'll own the operational core of our finance function, including: supplier payments, customer invoicing, and month-end reconciliations - ensuring everything runs accurately and on time. You'll partner closely with the wider finance function and cross-functional teams across the business, helping make finance a great partner to the rest of the company. The day-to-day processes are yours to run and improve: where something is manual or unclear, you'll have the real opportunity to make it better. It's a strong fit for someone early in their finance career who takes ownership seriously and wants their work to underpin the teams building tools for multimodal AI.

What you'll do

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable, VAT returns and accounts receivable.
Process employee expense reports and ensure adherence to company policies.
Oversee client invoicing and manage billing workflows.
Assist with month-end close procedures, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
Support financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
Collaborate on ad-hoc finance and operational projects as they arise.

Experience requirements

Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
1-2 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or analytical role (tech or startup experience is a plus, but not required).
Solid foundational knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and invoicing.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in spreadsheet software and financial tools. An understanding of AI-native finance stacks would be advantageous
Proactive mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, growing environment.
