Senior Analyst, Drug Development & Clinical Strategy

Position Summary:

Quotient is seeking a highly analytical and scientifically curious Senior Analyst to support strategic decision-making across our growing drug development pipeline. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of analytics, market intelligence, commercial strategy and early drug development in a genetics-based biotech company. 

The successful candidate will combine strong analytical skills and familiarity with scientific and clinical data with commercial curiosity, to turn networks of complex data into meaningful insights. In doing so, the successful candidate will help us better understand where high-value, tractable drug development opportunities exist across our internal pipeline of drug targets, and more broadly across a range of disease areas. Together with other members of the drug development team, this role will help focus which indications, patient segments, and development paths we should consider, and where data can help inform our investment and planning decisions.

This role could be based in our UK or US office and will report to the Chief Development Officer.

Responsibilities: 

• Across a range of disease/therapeutic areas, build a deep understanding of addressable markets, industry landscape, customer (health care practitioner, payor, and patient) needs, and forecast future states and opportunities for growth in sectors of interest
• Carry out market sizing, competitive analysis using epidemiology, clinical, and commercial data sets, and validate through research with external experts
• Partner with clinical, drug development and external experts/customers to further validate specific market segments and develop target product profiles (TPPs)
• Partner with Finance, Business development, and Drug Development teams to develop asset and disease area valuation models (e.g., rNPV) and support BD and finance discussions with valuation and commercial forecast models as required
• Design and improve data models, analytical frameworks, and output formats, that support assessments, presentation to stakeholders and internal decision-making
• Develop dashboards, reporting, and analysis tools to communicate outputs and disease area strategy. Develop and maintain revenue forecasts, pipeline models, and scenario analyses.  
• Prototype, test, and help deploy AI-enabled tools, agents, and other analytical resources to support all the above analyses; working with end users and internal teams to refine successful solutions
• Provide insights to drug development, project management, and finance teams to support target-setting and internal development planning.  

Qualifications:

Essential

• Bachelor's degree in health sciences discipline or a related field
• 3+ years of experience working in or with pharmaceutical or biotech companies (including via consulting firms) in product planning or commercial strategy teams
• Experience in at least one of these disease segments: Cardiovascular, renal, metabolic, oncology, autoimmune diseases
• Familiarity with drug development strategy and regulatory pathways
• Experience with a range of healthcare or life-sciences databases and market research tools
• Exposure to valuation, business development, licensing, or investment analysis
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Familiarity with and ability to synthesize scientific, medical, and economic data
• Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently yet collaboratively, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines

Desirable

• MD, PhD, or other advanced degree
• 4-6+ years of industry experience
• Knowledge of genomic-based approaches to drug target discovery
