The Team
Credit Cards is focused on creating distinctive products and growing profitably. The Originations team owns the experience and capabilities that take a customer from a customer’s first interaction with Zopa through application, decisioning and onboardingbringing together engineering, credit, fraud operations and partners.
As Senior Product Manager, you will own the Originations product and its performance — driving profitable new-account growth, conversion and customer experience from a customer’s first interaction with Zopa through to onboarding. You’ll partner closely with Credit, who own credit strategy, customer selection and pricing.

Use customer, commercial and risk signals to identify the biggest product opportunities to improve profitable new-account growth.
artner with Credit and Fraud to build and evolve the capabilities behind eligibility, affordability, decisioning, pricing and fraud prevention. Credit owns credit strategy, customer selection and pricing; you own how these are translated into scalable product capabilities and customer experiences.
Lead the product direction for a squad of engineers and work closely with shared decisioning, design, analytics and operations colleagues.
Improve conversion by simplifying journeys, reducing avoidable referrals and testing web and in-app changes.
Shape partnerships and data opportunities, including open-banking and third-party propositions.
Make pragmatic trade-offs across customer outcomes, conversion, economics, risk, quality and delivery speed.
Develop the team’s ways of working, including practical use of AI and automation to improve productivity, speed and quality. productivitiy and effectiveness.
You have owned measurable commercial and customer outcomes across a complex digital product area.
You can turn ambiguous problems into a clear direction, prioritised roadmap and well-defined measures of success.
You bring sound commercial judgement and can balance growth, conversion, unit economics, customer outcomes and risk considerations.
You are comfortable being accountable for clear goals and KPIs, and changing course when the evidence shows the current plan is not working.
You build strong product-engineering partnerships and lead work end to end, from problem definition and discovery through launch, measurement and iteration.
You use data to form hypotheses, make decisions and explain what you chose not to do.
You influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners without relying on hierarchy.
You are hands-on, decisive and comfortable getting into the detail when needed.
You continually improve how a team works and are open to using AI and automation thoughtfully.
Experience in consumer fintech or a fast-moving, customer-facing scale-up.
Comfortable working directly with data using SQL, scripting languages and BI / analytical tools where needed.
Experience developing or coaching product managers or analysts.
Experience of third-party data, open banking or strategic partner propositions.

Behavioural and competency-based interviews: please don't use AI. These conversations are designed to understand you — your experiences, your judgment, and how you've approached real situations. An AI-generated answer can't tell us that. What it can do is get in the way of us finding out whether we're the right fit for each other.
Technical interviews: it depends on the role. Some technical stages actively welcome AI use, others don't. Your Talent Partner will let you know what's expected at each stage. Where AI is part of the assessment, we'll be interested not just in the outcome, but in how you used it – the tools you chose, your reasoning, and the decisions you made along the way.
