Does a company on this list have to sponsor my visa?
No. Being on the register means an organisation can sponsor workers, not that it will for a particular role. For a Skilled Worker visa you need a job offer from a licensed sponsor, a certificate of sponsorship for that job, and a role that meets the skill level and salary rules for its occupation code. Those rules change, so check the current requirements on GOV.UK before you apply.
What do the A, B and Provisional ratings mean?
A is a fully licensed sponsor that can assign certificates of sponsorship. B means the Home Office has downgraded the licence, usually with an action plan to fix compliance problems; a B-rated sponsor cannot assign new certificates until it is upgraded again. Provisional is a UK Expansion Worker licence for an overseas business setting up its first UK presence, and it can only sponsor the workers it sends to set that business up.
What happens when a sponsor is removed from the register?
Licences are revoked, surrendered or left to expire, and the organisation drops off the register. It can no longer sponsor new workers. If you are already sponsored by it, the Home Office will normally shorten your permission to stay, giving you time to find a new sponsor or leave the UK.
Where does this data come from?
From the Home Office register of licensed sponsors: workers, which we import every day. We list organisations licensed for the Skilled Worker route; other routes on the same licence, such as Global Business Mobility or Creative Worker, are shown under each name. "Newly licensed" and "removed" come from comparing each day's file with the previous one, starting from 16 October 2026.
How do you link sponsors to companies hiring on Arbeitnow?
Only when the names match exactly, ignoring words like "Ltd" or "UK". For short or common names the company also needs a live job in the town on the register. The register only lists names and towns, so we can't be certain of every match. If a link looks wrong, email [email protected] and we'll fix it.
